Carrie.

"Carrie: The Musical" is a stage adaptation of Stephen King's novel "Carrie," with music by Michael Gore, lyrics by Dean Pitchford, and a book by Lawrence D. Cohen. For our adaptation, we aimed to immerse the audience in the emotional and psychological landscape of the story, capturing both the mundane realities of high school life and the darker, more supernatural elements at play. By effectively integrating these themes into the design, we can enhance the audience's understanding and emotional engagement with the characters and their journey.

Process.

After doing all my research and development (as seen above), I moved onto SketchUp to create a 3D model of the set design. This included making a walkthrough animation of the design to show the performers when presenting, giving them a feel for the height and atmosphere of the space.
